1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup whole milk, warmed to 110°F (43°C)

1/2 cup apple cider, warmed to 110°F (43°C)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

2 apples, peeled, cored, and finely diced (about 2 cups)

For the Apple Cider Glaze:

1/2 cup apple cider

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

    - In a large mixing bowl, combine warmed milk, apple cider, and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it’s frothy.

      - In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and ground cinnamon. Once the yeast mixture is ready, add melted butter and eggs, mixing well.

        - Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until the dough comes together. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.

          Make the Filling:

            - In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Set aside.

              Roll Out the Dough:

                - Once the dough has risen, punch it down, and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 16x24 inches in size. Spread the filling evenly over the dough. Distribute the diced apples evenly on top.

                  Form the Buns:

                    - Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place cut-side up in a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.

                      Let the Buns Rise:

                        - Cover the baking pan with a towel and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes until the buns puff up.

                          Make the Glaze:

                            - In a medium saucepan, combine apple cider, brown sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

                              Preheat and Bake:

                                - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the apple cider glaze over the risen buns before baking.

                                  - Bake the sticky buns for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

                                    Cool and Serve:

                                      - Remove the buns from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes. Carefully invert the pan onto a serving platter to release the sticky buns. Serve warm and enjoy!
