Ingredients

20 jumbo pasta shells

1 lb ground turkey

3 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups marinara sauce

Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta Shells:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the jumbo pasta shells and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.

      Prepare the Filling:

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat. Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until wilted.

          Mix the Cheese Mixture:

In a large bowl, combine the cooked turkey and spinach, ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

              Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

                  Stuff the Shells:

Using a teaspoon or your hands, carefully stuff each cooked pasta shell with the turkey and cheese mixture. Place the stuffed shells in a 9x13 inch baking dish.

                      Add Sauce:

Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are generously covered. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top.

                          Bake:

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

                              Serve:

Remove from the oven and let sit for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious Cheesy Turkey and Spinach Stuffed Shells!
