12 oz linguine or spaghetti

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 cups fresh spinach, packed

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

3 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine or spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.

    Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

      Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

        Add Cream and Broth: Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring well to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for about 3-4 minutes, allowing it to slightly thicken.
