Ingredients

1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

8 small corn tortillas

1 cup shredded cabbage

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup diced red onion

Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Lime wedges for serving

For the Avocado Cream:

1 ripe avocado

1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon lime juice

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Shrimp: In a mixing bowl, combine the raw shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated. Allow to marinate while you prepare the avocado cream.

Make the Avocado Cream: In a blender or food processor, combine the ripe avocado, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), lime juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste, then set aside.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

Warm the Tortillas: In a separate skillet, warm the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or until they are pliable and slightly toasted.

Assemble the Tacos: On each tortilla, place a handful of shredded cabbage as the base. Top with a generous portion of cooked shrimp, diced tomatoes, and red onion.

Top with Avocado Cream: Drizzle the creamy avocado mixture generously over each taco.

Garnish and Serve: Finish with fresh cilantro leaves and a squeeze of lime juice. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
