Ingredients

12 oz fettuccine pasta

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

2 chicken breasts (approximately 1 lb), boneless and skinless

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. In the last 3-4 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the boiling pasta. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Chicken: While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Add them to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and no longer pink in the middle. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and allow them to rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.

Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and nutmeg, whisking continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

Combine Everything: Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet, tossing gently to coat everything in the creamy Alfredo sauce. Then, add the sliced chicken on top and give it a gentle stir to combine.

Serve: Remove from heat and plate the pasta. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for that pop of color. Serve immediately and enjoy the creamy, savory goodness!
